Zelda, Rented

So, I rented Wind Waker on Thursday afternoon. On Friday, I got all three pearls. So, I guess I am at the point of where I first saw Sam play the game, a week ago? I probably have spent 10 hours, lots of exploration. The thing that really pisses me off is the whole rope thing, because, when you stop, it is a lot of guessing, and it needs to be a little bit of exactness when you want to get from one rope to another... gah... and the camera makes me feel claustrophobic sometimes. Overall, it is a solid game. On the claustrophobic thing, when I was in the Deku Tree level thing, I really liked using the Deku Leaf because it felt like a lot of open space and stuff, and flying down 5 stories. The way the game uses the rumble feature of the controller is great, it helps you get into the MOOD! I have been trouble doing a "perry," I don't know, I just am unable to do so.

I really like how everything seems connected. The mailboxes thing, I like, and how you can sail places, and it is not like: Ohkay, you go to this area, and then you go back on the sea, it is one world! You know what I am talking about. You go into the proximity, and then it fades into the area of the island, and it docks for you. But, no, this, this game it is wide open. One little thing I noticed is that the main screen, up front, there is a background that changes according to the time of the day. Now, I have used a "walk-through," but only in places I would not be able to do figure out, if I spend enough time to become frustrated, then I will use a walk through, but not as step-by-step thing. I really like the deku-leaf, it makes everything seems more open.

It is a good, solid game, but eventually, as with every other game, I will become too jittery to play it, and I will go crazy. But, I have gotten my. 4 dollars and odd cents for the renting from Potomac Video. Now, to sleep and get iLife '04, and maybe some new pants from the JAP.. I mean, from the GAP!
