A Travelouge - Rejuvenation
here I be in the detroit airport, after getting picked up around 7 from outside the dorms. One of Sam's housemates drove us: myself, sam, and another of sam's housemates named JB to the airport. And I am tired, right now, I am tired. I woke the earliest I have since last tuesday because of not having my first class of the day at 10 and there being two days of weekend. So, having to wake-up this morning was a bit hard, but I eventually got out of bed, and got some clothes on, and threw my laundry in... whoaw, it is wierd to think that it was so long ago that I had done that, that feels really long ago. But, I guess that is what happens when you have a traveling day, the whole day seems elongated because you do most of your actions and then on top of that, you go to the airport and do more actions when you get to your destination... and then whent to my Spanish class to do more oral exam. It whent okay, but when my teacher started asking me about the trip I took in 9th grade to Spain, I could not remember where I went, and I felt that he thought I was not able to speak spanish rather than not remember where I went. But, whateves, day goes on, and finished my Spanish composition and handed that in before heading back to the dorm...
... now I am on the plane, and boy is this not ideal.. I just don't like flying that much, i would rather not,,,,
Now I have landed, and I am home, sitting here on my bed... my bed... I did not need to climb up a fucking ladder to lie in my bed... Pure comfort... what I was looking for these past months... I should sleep and try to make the most out of not having to live in a huge complex with roommates.
I am going to enjoy this, rejuvenation
Coming Back to School
That's right, no catchy title for it, plain simple, Coming Back to School. On Saturday I awoke and decided it was time for Frisco's. I figured that calling anyone would be futile as they would be at the Alapo BBQ, so I headed over there myself... but to my surprise I saw T.Vladeck, Gabby, and Downey there getting food before they were heading down to the Boathouse. I then went to Chipotle to get a burrito for later.
After coming home, doing some work, it was time to leave. I got all my things in line and got in the car with Sam to head to the airport. We waited there for about 2 hours before our flight because Grandma is worried about people being late for their flights, so we arrived mega-early. We watched Part 1 of the Office Special while waiting at the gate, thanks to my kick-ass computer.
The flight was fine, and quick in time, but it felt long... the bumps at the end, was jerky and unsettling, I felt that on landing only one the back wheels would be on the ground and the slippery ground would allow for us to skid and the back right of the plane would tip backwards, causing scraping across the runway... very fortunately, there were no problems. Sam and I went to his house because we were going to see a movie soon, at which point I opened my burrito, which was soggy and withered from being in the bag for so long.
My brother and I saw, "After the Sunset," which was better than our original plan of "National Treasure." It was a caper movie, which is always appreciated, but I think the last second reveal was a little weak, but that is what I will change when I make my caper about a kid who is really a midget and he knows Tae-Bo.... We then went to the super store Meijer so i could get myself some more Cherry Coke and some blank CDs(nuts) and I was hoping to find Mario Tennis for GameCube, but naw, it was not there, which is better for me not to have any games with me so I won't be distracted.
I came back here, with my bag, backpack, two 12 packs of Cherry Coke, and the pack of CDRs and my hands were full. I came in and set things back in their place, and started to copy On the Waterfront to my computer for school, and watched another DVD for school: The Station Agent... which is what my final paper for Film class is on, and it is a good slow movie, which is nice. I finally just went to sleep, and I thought I heard someone clawing at my door, so I chained the door shut.
Coming back early, not that bad
Being back, before everyone else, is very nice. I like being in this kind of solitude. "What would you do if you lived in a perpetual waiting for people to come back?" "Like, time stood still," "No, you could leave, go find people, things are happening, but people just never come back to start school again...." I would do that, this is enjoyable, get me some IM on the internet, good food, mario some Paper Mario? and I would be going well. I would rather have spent more time at home, but I will get that chance in a monfth.
