Dorm Room Wrap Party
Normally, my goings outs are not succesful outings. I don't really like parties for some reason and I always feel out of place a little bit. However, no, not this evening. I headed to Jordan's apartment for a nice gathering of film students and such. I have to say, this only reaffirmed by feeling that parties suck, and gatherings are the best. When you can see everyone who is hanging out at the same time, that is the best. When you don't have to yell, that is best. And I don't mind other people drinking at a small gathering, it is a good old time.
I decided that, along with my increasing boredom, I should go to this "Party," (which later turned out to be a much more enjoyable gathering). I was cold on the way there, and on the way back, and after a little trouble finding the place at first, which I was going to get scared about in the way I do of being scared about going places and turn back, I found it and walked in and there was a nice assortment of folks there.
I did watch an episode of South Park about Family Guy, which made a lot of sense, and I enjoyed it when Jordan defended the quality of The Simpsons. Sean, who has gotten hot recently, expounded thoughts of Comics, and I like that I have found a friend who is at an equal geek stage on something, (him comics and computers). At a certain point, i think 1/3 of all the female film students I know were there, and I talked to them about what it is like to be a female film student. And I decided it really didn't make that much of a difference because it is all about if you've got the skills or not. I also appreciated it greatly when Sean told me he enjoyed my Skee Ball movie, which I am hoping other people will like.
I got there around 11 and left around 3 and some change, and I was the last to leave with Sean and we walked back on Hill, and he agreed with me that we don't do the small gatherings enough, damn it. After that, we parted ways, and I got a slice of pizza, and came back to my locked house (I think I have come back to the house when it has been locked maybe twice so far.) I brushed my teeth,( did I? yes, I did, i remember now), and now I am in bed.
Today was a lot of film stuff. Two meetings, a gathering (of magic), nothing else. I went to Zingerman's, and I have decided I am going to to try to have every sanwhich they have. Cause you know, even though I may not like the individual ingredients, I bet once they are all together, they are great. I had Pastrami today, for I think the first time. Number 11. Only many more to go.
